Bypass Cable – Required for 2018+ Ram Cummins Flashing

A bypass cable is required to unlock and flash 2018 and newer Ram Cummins trucks. Beginning in 2018, Ram implemented enhanced security protocols in the factory gateway module, which prevent direct communication between the ECM/TCM and aftermarket tuning devices.

The bypass cable temporarily reroutes communication around the factory security gateway, allowing supported tuning devices to safely read, write, and flash the ECM (and TCM where applicable).
